SCIINV BioSciences, a Startup founded by Women Enterprenuers from Hyderabad have developed AI/ML led Clinically validated digital diagnostic tool AMRxTM for combating Anti Microbial Resistance.
SCIINV Biosciences and World Trade Centre- Shamshabad, India, announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will leverage the strengths in digital diagnostics to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The World Health Organization (WHO) lists AMR among top 10 threats for global health.

The MoU is signed by Dr.Uma Rani, CEO of SCIINV Biosciences and Varaprasada Reddy Yarram Chairman of World Trade Centre, Shamshabad, India. Directors of SCIINV Biosciences, P. Anasuya, PV Lakshmi and J.Malathi and Krishna B, Chief Business officer, SCIINV Biosciences also joined the event. AMRxTM the clinically validated digital diagnostic tool is developed in collaboration with Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSIHL) says Dr.UmaRani.

The MoU will bring together SCIINV BioSciences’ network with academia and research organizations globally for scientific expertise in AMR and its proprietary digital diagnostic tool AMRxTM. World Trade Centre- Shamshabad, India with it’s wide network of centres globally will also be leveraged under the partnership. This collaboration is expected to help launch multiple digital diagnostic products for various bacterial infections in humans, animals and plants – an approach known as One Health.

Varaprasada Reddy Yarram, Chairman of World Trade Centre, Shamshabad, India said: “We are proud to partner with SCIINV Biosciences on this important mission against Antimicrobial Resistance.” He further added, “World Trade Centre with its wide network of centres globally will collaborate towards making healthcare accessible to wider masses through innovative diagnostics like AMRxTM “.

Prof Pallu Reddanna, Executive President Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) and Emeritus Professor, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad was present during the MoU signing ceremony. Prof Reddanna mentioned that this strategic alliance between World Trade Centre Shamshabad, India and SCIINV Biosciences can help in taking the innovative diagnostic tools across markets globally and make it affordable which can diagnose bacterial infections accurately while helping contain drug resistance across species”.

Dr Ranga Reddy Burri, President Infection Control Academy of India and Scientific Advisor to SCIINV was present during the MoU signing ceremony and commented “the threat of AMR is a very real and present danger, already causing the death of millions worldwide. Without access to timely diagnostic results and sustainable antibiotic alternatives, antimicrobial stewardship efforts are ineffective. To combat AMR effectively, we must invest in technologies that can provide rapid diagnosis and promote the development of viable non-antibiotic treatments. Only then can we hope to contain this growing global health crisis.
