On 25th July 201 4, hundreds of research scholars were gathered in front of DST for a common reason i.e. Hike in fellowship. Our previous issue has highlighted the events taken place on the ‘Black Day’. This was the first time when as many scholars stood for same reason and protest outside Government establishment. Now in this issue we will cover the events taken place after DST Secretary, Dr K Vijayraghavan promised researchers about affirmative action. Until writing this report no concrete action has been taken by ministry of science and technology of India about the prevailing condition. Since then researchers around country held protest at various places, now they are planning to unite at a single point for mass protest. Mass protest is the only way of delivering message inside,said a Researcher from IGIB.
